Wallace-Meyer Wedding

Saturday, July 28th was the wedding date for Sarah Wallace and Mike Meyer. This was a special wedding, as our daughter, Karla, has lived with the Wallace family in Branson, for the past four year. So it was almost like a family wedding.

The wedding was held at the Cedar Valley Church, just south of Hollister. The church was almost filled to capacity, with many friends and family in attendance.

Congratulations, Sarah and Mike, for letting us be a part of your specail day. And thanks again to Rusty and Deb for all you've done for Karla.

Family Session On The Beach

Occasionally, we get the opportunity to do a photo session that is a little out of the ordinary, something a bit special. Such was the case on July 16.

For many years, we have taken photos for the Bill and Freddie Ray family. Like our family, the Ray's have 5 daughters. Bill and Freddie will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next year.

They share a week long vacation each summer with their whole family near Gulf Shores, Alabama. This year, we had the pleasure of traveling to Gulf Shores and doing family beach portraits.

The weather was threatening. Radar showed rain on the way. About the time we were to begin the session, it started to rain. We waited about an hour. It didn't look promising. But then the rain almost stopped, so we decided to start the session.

It turned out perfect! Lighting was excellent. We got many great photos, too many to show here.

After the session, we had a wonderful time spending the afternoon and evening meal with the Ray's. Thanks again, guys, for your kind hospitality!!!!!

Talley-Matlock Wedding: 07-07-07

July 7th was supposedly one of the busiest days in years for a wedding, 07/07/07. We lost count of the number of weddings we had to turn down for the day (we only photograph one wedding a day).

We had a great wedding that day, the wedding of Danielle Talley and Kenneth Matlock. Danielle is a good friend of my daughter Kelly and son-in-law Keith. The wedding was in Berryville at the Assembly of God Church. Everyone was very punctual (which a wedding photographer REALLY appreciates), so we had plenty of time to do some great photos.

Ceremony was performed by Kenneth's pastor, Bro. Larry Rich and Danielle's pastor, Bro. Keith Butler. Bro. Keith's uncle, Bro.. Harvey Butler, was the minister who married my wife and I, 30 years ago this September!

Congratulations, Danielle and Kenneth!

Schweitzer-McNaul Wedding

One July 6th, we had the honor of photographing the wedding of Joe McNaul and Kendra Schweitzer. The wedding was held at the Chateau on the Lake, in Branson.

It was a beautiful wedding, held on the lawn, overlooking Table Rock Lake.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Chateau.

Congratulations, Joe and Kendra. Thanks for choosing us to be a part of your special day!

Support The Fight Against MS and Get A Free Family Portrait

On September 15-16, I will be joining approximately 800 bicycle riders for the annual MS 150 bicycle tour. This is a two-day, 150 mile bike ride to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis. I have ridden the Arkansas tour a few times, but this year I decided to ride the Missouri tour. The ride will begin Saturday, September the 15th in Willard (near Springfield) and go to Joplin. The following day, the route will return from Joplin to Willard.

I have joined the team from College of the Ozarks, known as the "PLUMS" (Point Lookout Undermining Multiple Sclerosis).

My goal is to raise $1,000 (note: the web site says my goal is $500, but that was the default amount). You can help in one of two ways.

#1: Portrait Gift Certificates. We are offering a family portrait gift certificate good for a family session and one 5x7 portriat, for a donation of just $30. You may use the certificate during the months of October 2007 thru March 2008. Other restrictions apply, call studio for details. Certificates are limit to one per family session, but you can buy more than one and give them as gifts.

#2: Donation. There are two way to donate. You can donate online, or send a check directly to me. Our address is PO Box 80, Oak Grove, AR 72660. Make checks payable to: National MS Society. You can also donate online. You can also check current donations, and the "Fundraising Honor Roll" Here's the link: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?px=3858270&pg=personal&fr_id=5040

Our "All Inclusive" Senior Session Fees and Wedding Prices

Don't you just hate to go buy something, think you are getting a special deal, and then find out what you really want is extra? Feel like you get "nickel-and-dimed" to death?
That's why at Plumlee Photography, our senior sessions fees are so simple. You can book a session from one-half hour up to three hours. Most book the two hour session.
We can do what ever you want for that two hours. Want outdoor photos only? That's fine. Want indoor only, that's ok too (most choose a combination of in and out). Black and white? No extra charge. Extra outfits? No problem, so long as you are a fast changer (most people do 5-7 outfits in 2 hours)! There is no extra session fee for photos with pets, cars, props, friends, the creek, etc. You just have to schedule enough time to do all the photos you want. This makes your session time at Plumlee's so fun and relaxed. You get to be yourself!
How about weddings? When you book your wedding with Plumlee's, we visit with you and determine which coverage is best for your wedding. All wedding collections now include either a CD (with all rights for you to print your own photos) or a combination of a finished album and CD. Once you choose the package that fits your wedding, that's all you have to do. You get all the edited photos from your wedding. No having to sort through proofs to decide which photos go into your album. No having to edit them down to fit into a pre-determined number of photos. No having to pay extra if you want more photos in your album than was purchased. We also do a suggested layout for your album.
We now have wedding coverages beginning at $995, depending upon the size of your wedding.
Price IS important in making a purchase. But one thing is more important and that is, "What am I getting for my money?"
