Up, Up, and Away!

On November 8, I did some aerial photos. We had someone needing photos of lake property. While up, we flew over Oak Grove. My nephew, Matt, went along and helped. It was his first time in an airplane. He was a big help, holding open the window while I photographed and handing me lenses.
The aerial photos are of the lake, my dads farm (with the studio), and my brother's house.
It takes 12 minutes to go from the studio to touch down at the Harrison airport.
It was a very pleasant, smooth ride.

The New Secretary of Defense

In October 2003, Robert Gates was the guest speaker at College of the Ozarks. We had the honor of photographing the event.
A former CIA director, Gates is currently president of Texas A&M University.
On November 8, he was nominated by President Bush to replace Donald Rumsfield as Defense Secretary.

Check out our studio website for photos of other "Famous Faces".

An Extra Special Wedding

Congratulation to Elizabeth Perkins and James Mendyk who were married on November 4th at the First Baptist Church in Berryville.
While each wedding is special to us, this partucular one was special in a personal way. Elizabeth's father, Roger, has long been a friend of mine. We met when I was just a teenager. I've always said, Roger probably kept me out of a lot of trouble as a teen. He was a few years older than me, and we spent many a Friday and Saturday nights cruising Berryville, driving from the bowling alley and the old AP&L building, and talking on CB radios (remember this was the early to mid '70's).
Roger also has a special place in our lives. He was the one who set me up on a blind date on New Year's Eve, 1975. However, the girl got a chance to go to the Cotton Bowl game, so she had a friend of her's go on the date with me. That last minute replacement date turned out to be my wife, Lajunta!
To Roger and Sally.. ... son-in-laws can be pretty handy to have around at times. They are ok.

Contratulations to Elizabeth and James!!!!!

Boys Night Out

On Halloween, it has been a tradition for many years in the Plumlee family for everyone to go to my parents house. This year, the "Missouri" girls were busy and couldn't come down, plus my nephews are getting too old to get very excited about Halloween. Since my brother is home from trucking on Tuesdays, I had a idea to invite all the guys out for the evening. The girls that we not busy stayed the evening with my mom.
Dad is not a sports fan, but I told him he should go with us to a Razorback basketball game. Being first game of the season and Halloween, their shouldn't be a very big crowd. We bought Dad a Razorback shirt and cap.
We bribed dad (told him if he'd go, we'd find a good buffet to eat). We bought our tickets, ran down the road to J.D. China's, and had a good meal.
I photographed the game, and my brother Terry found them great seats.
Pictured are my dad Gene, nephew Cory, son-in-law Keith, nephew Matt, and brother Terry.
I think Dad had a good time, even though he thought there were too many time outs. . .
