It's Razorback Basketball Season!!!!

For the third season, I'm getting the opportunity to photograph Razorback basketball games.

Back in 2002, I had the opportunity to do senior photos for Steven Hill, as he graduated from Branson. We enjoyed meeting Steven and his family. After graduating, he chose to attend college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and became a Razorback.

Towards the end of his freshman year, I made some connections and was able to get a press pass to photograph a couple of games. What fun!!! Last year, I photographed five games.
On Friday, October 20, was the Razorback Red/White game. I thought they played fantastic! With several new players coming in this year, it will be exciting to see how the season goes.

In his first two years with the Hogs, StevenHill has put together some impressive numbers at Fayetteville. Last season, he set a school record for sophomores with 91 blocked shots. Against Texas State, he tied the school record and set a Bud Walton Arena record with 10 blocked shots in one game. For the second year in a row, he finished second in the Southeastern Conference in blocked shots. He averaged 3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 blocked shots during the 2005-2006 season. Hill currently ranks third on the UofA’s all-time shot-block record list with 145.
During Friday’s scrimmage game, Hill pulled down 9 rebounds, tossed in 11 points, and had 2 blocked shots. Hill’s Red team held on for a 97-94 over-time victory.
